M.I.A

So...I started this blog, but then I never really did much with it. Have you ever noticed how some people are just better bloggers than others? I have a friend who blogs, and it's funny, really funny. It's like reading a good book or something. I love it. I'm not that kind of blogger. I wish I was. Maybe I should try harder. Oh well.

So, I'm here in Kansas City. Not too much exciting going on at the moment, just work, the usual. It's been nice to be closer to home, even though I haven't had a ton of time to visit. I miss Arizona. It's funny. Before moving to AZ I was nervous, I didn't know if I was going to like it. I'm not really a hot weather kind of girl. Funny thing is...I totally fell in love with it. I don't know that it was just the state, I think it was a wonderful combination of things. I loved the city I was in, the hospital, the gym, the amazing group of friends I made there. Everything just fell into place for me there. Now I'm here. And I like it. But I don't love it. I want to love someplace again.

So, I think I'll head back to Arizona in January if I can. And after that maybe Seattle or somewhere in California. I don't really know. Maybe it seems weird that I don't just stay in AZ if I loved it so much. I guess I kind of feel like I owe it to myself to see what else is out there before I make any major decisions. I loved Arizona, but who's to say that I won't find some other place that I love just as much or even more-if that's possible! :)

Okay, enough about Arizona. haha I went to World's of Fun last weekend with a friend of mine. For those of you 'out of towners', that's a theme park here in Kansas City. I haven't been since I was probably 13 years old...I remember because we went as a Girl Scout Trip in combination with a Backstreet Boys concert in 8th grade. Ahh, the good ole' days! Anyway, it was a pretty good time, except on one of the rides there were hornets all over the place and then at the end of the ride we got stopped just before we got under that little building where you exit. Fortunately for us, we went on the car we were on instead of the next one because that car got stuck at the very top of the hill where all the hornets were flying around. I think I would have had a stroke. I'll try to post a picture of it later...if I remember. :) Anyway, we survived and more than anything it was good company!

That's all I've got for now, nothing too exciting going on in my life. Imagine that. :)

virgin blogger..and vegas

get excited! the girls at work have turned me onto this whole new blogging world that i never knew anything about. i'm looking forward to it. i probably don't have anything too terribly interesting to say, but at least this way my friends can keep up with me after i move away. :)

so, it's my first blog and i don't really want to write a book, but i feel like i should put in some background information. here i am in arizona...and, surprisingly, i'm loving it-113 degress and all! kind of hard to believe that a missouri native would be able to stand some of these temperatures. i'm looking forward to being close to home again soon, but i am desperately going to miss it here. i have no doubt that i'll be back!

meghan flew in last week and we took a quick trip up to las vegas. that was interesting. we had a good time for the most part. i had one too many cocktails and started falling all over myself...literally. my ankle is finally starting to feel a little better though. what can i say, i like to do things right. :) it made for a fun story to tell the girls at work.

hehe. these are the glasses i accidentally stole from a random boy. and then i decided to take some photos of myself while my friend was out dancing. all in all, it was a good time.
